Greetings from Oklahoma

Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain. I am currently in Broken Arrow, OK for work. Oklahoma reminds me of the Dallas suburbs I so often travel to (Weatherford, Burleson, Cedar Hill, Irving). We are not so far from Dallas, so it certainly makes sense. You can fly directly from Phoenix to Tulsa via Southwest Airlines, and then it is a short drive to Broken Arrow, a growing Tulsa suburb, so I cannot really complain about the travel much.

Broken Arrow has a cute downtown area with some restaurants and a nice gelato place (STG Gelataria) that has espresso drinks for consultants that need a constant fix of caffeine. BBQ is big here, just like in Texas. People are very friendly. It’s not as flat as I expected (Phoenix is so incredibly flat). Overall, this small slice of Oklahoma has given me good vibes.

It’s a typical arrive Monday night, leave Thursday trip for us – I am heading out at 5:30 back to Phoenix tomorrow. At least coming here, I can check Oklahoma off my states visited bucket list.
